OWATONNA — Austin finished its regular season unbeaten. But it wasn't easy.

The Packers bounced back from a one-point deficit in the second half Friday to beat solid Owatonna 60-48 in Big Nine Conference boys basketball.

Austin is 18-0 in the Big Nine and 25-0 overall. Owatonna is 11-7, 15-11.

The Packers jumped on the Huskies after trailing 41-40, going on a 12-0 scoring run that was keyed by 3-pointers by Bret Lukes and Ajuda Nywesh.

Tom Aase led Austin in scoring with 16 points. Lukes added 15, Joe Aase had nine and Zach Wessels eight. Tom Aase also grabbed nine rebounds.


Ty Sullivan had 19 points for the Huskies. Colton Schock added 13.

Austin outscored Owatonna 11-6 from the free-throw line.
