Dover-Eyota picked up one of its more impressive boys basketball wins in years Thursday night, upsetting previously unbeaten Lake City 62-45 in non-conference action.
The Eagles are now 13-4 overall and have won seven of their past eight games. Lake City, which is ranked fifth in state Class AA, is 15-1.
D-E put on a defensive show in the first half, limiting the normally high-scoring Tigers to just 10 points. It led 36-10 at intermission.
The Eagles did lots of damage from the free-throw line, where they went 22-for-31. Lake City was just 7-for-13.
Wesley Brown was among three Eagles in double figures with 14 points. Garrett Studer had 13 and Thomas Pankonin 10.

Lake City's high scorer was Jessie Oliver with 14 points. Brady Kuchinka, who had been averaging 20 points, was held to 10.
