Rochester Lourdes overcame a six-point halftime deficit and slid past Chatfield 66-62 in Three Rivers Conference boys basketball Saturday at Alumni Hall.
The Eagles landed three players in double figures. Jacob Schaefer had 27 points, Mark Pagel 20 and Kyle Kapraun 11.
"We battled again," said Lourdes coach Jim Daly, whose team trailed by six points in the second half Friday against Plainview-Elgin-Millville, before coming back to win. "We found ways to make some plays. We changed defenses and that helped a lot. Chatfield is a good team.
"I thought coach (Tom) Bance had a great game plan and his kids executed it really well. We were fortunate enough to win."
Both teams made a steady diet of 3-point goals, Lourdes with eight of them and Chatfield with seven. Pagel had four for Lourdes. Nate Skare — who finished with 18 points for Chatfield — also had four 3-pointers.
