Boys Basketball | Lourdes 74, K-M 59

Rochester Lourdes won for the eighth time in its last nine games, beating Kasson-Mantorville 74-59 in Hiawatha Valley League boys basketball Friday at Alumni Hall.

The Eagles were never threatened, on top 20-4 early in the game and 46-19 at halftime,

Lourdes got nice balance for the second straight game, with four players in double figures. Jacob Schaefer scored 21 points, Mark Pagel and Kyle Kapraun each had 12, and Alex Glynn had 11.

Kapraun buried three 3-pointers.

"The balance we had was nice," Lourdes coach Jim Daly said. "Four guys in double figures is good. Plus, we defended well."

The Eagles moved to 4-3 in the HVL and 12-4 overall. K-M is 0-8, 2-14.

The KoMets were led by Brandon Scott's 21 points. Chad Aaker had 12.
