Rochester Mayo put together its best performance of the season and beat a recently hot Austin team 57-47 in Big Nine Conference boys basketball Friday.

After struggling much of the season, the Spartans have now won two of their last three games. Mayo is 3-8 in the Big Nine, 6-11 overall.

"It was our best team game to date," Mayo coach Shaun Lang said. "We moved the ball very well against their zone and made good decisions down the stretch."
