OWATONNA — Marcus Stoulil scored 31 seconds into the game, but the Austin High offense was shut down after that in a 3-1 loss to Owatonna in a Big Nine Conference boys hockey game Thursday.

Stoulil got the Packers off to a good start, but he took two penalties over the next eight minutes, and Owatonna capitalized on both. Matt Ratzloff's power-play goal 4:48 into the first tied the score, then Dallas Hegard scored the game-winner on a man-advantage at the 8:33 mark.

Ratzloff added an even-strength goal with 36 seconds to go in the opening period to cap the scoring.

Rainer Londino-Green kept the Packers in the game, stopping 36 of 39 shots he faced. Luke Ebeling made 18 saves for Owatonna.

Austin plays at Rochester Mayo next Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Graham Arena.
