Boys Hockey | Holy Family Catholic 2, Rochester John Marshall 1

VICTORIA, Minn. — Bryan King made 28 saves, but it wasn't enough for Rochester John Marshall, which dropped its final game of the boys hockey regular season on Saturday, 2-1, against Holy Family Catholic at the Victoria Recreation Center.

The Fire (13-10-1) outshot the Rockets, 30-27, and never trailed in the non-conference game.

Holy Family led 1-0 after one period and 2-0 after two on goals by Will Hanscom and Mike Gaslin.

JM fought back in the third, when Eric Mackey scored a power play goal, with assists from Zack Johnson and Tom Foley. But the Rockets couldn't beat Holy Family goalie Larry Bieneman again. Bieneman finished with 26 saves.

JM closed its regular season with a 15-10-0 record. The last time the Rockets won 15 games in a season was the 2004-05 season, when JM advanced to the Section 1AA championship game, where it lost to Rochester Century.
