FARIBAULT — Rochester John Marshall peppered Faribault's goalie all night Thursday, but couldn't find the go-ahead goal.
The Rockets played well but ended up with a 1-1 tie in a Big Nine Conference boys hockey game.
Only two players got on the scoresheet, both in the opening period.
Giuseppe Curry scored an unassisted goal for John Marshall, his third goal of the season.
Faribault's leading scorer, Christan Von Ruden answered minutes later with his 16th goal of the season, also unassisted.

Neither team scored the remainder of the game.
JM outshot Faribault 50-22, but Falcons goalie Chase Batchelder stopped 49 shots. JM's Patric Sadecki made 21 saves in the tie. The Falcons dropped to 6-6-2 overall and 4-5-1 in the Big Nine.
"Their goalie played well and a lot of our shots came from the point, but we had some really good chances to score," JM coach Jay Ness said. "I'm not unhappy with how we played, though. It was a much better effort."
JM (4-11-1, 2-5-1) plays at Rochester Mayo at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Graham Arena I.
