There was no letdown for the Rochester Lourdes boys hockey team.
Two nights after falling to top-ranked St. Thomas Academy in an emtionally-draining overtime game, Lourdes steamrolled Owatonna, 10-1, at Graham Arena on Thursday. The victory on Senior Night lifted the fifth-ranked Eagles record to 20-3-0 overall.
It also marks the 20th victory of the season for senior goalie Nick Heimer, who now holds the program's record for most victories in a season. He actually set the mark this past Saturday with a victory against Breck, passing Dan Smith, who had 18 victories in the 2001-02 season. Heimer's next victory will give him 50 for his Lourdes career; he holds a record of 49-16-4 in his three-year high school career.
"He's a great kid," Lourdes coach Josh Spaniol said of Heimer. "He's worked so hard to get to where he is. We told him at the beginning of the year that, with how our schedule set up, he could play every minute and he said he would do it."
Senior Louis Hanson, who has been around the Eagles program for three seasons, notched his first varsity goal late in the game, with an assist from Ryan Nicolay, who had two assists.

Lourdes had 13 players get on the scoresheet. Connor Nellans led the Eagles with two goals and an assist. Landon Farrell and Andy Benner each scored two goals, while Brian Wasz had a goal and an assist. Sam Slightam, Karl Krecke and Nathan Roth each had two assists.
Alec Brandrup and Justin Dewitz scored a goal each, and Rory Vesel and Alex Funk each had one assist.
Lourdes is off until Tuesday, when it travels to Rogers for a 7 p.m. game.
