MANKATO — Mankato West's high-powered top line was too much for Austin to handle.
Derek Frentz had four goals and Galt Goettl had four assists as West beat Austin, 7-0, in a Big Nine Conference boys hockey game on Friday.
West led 2-0 after the first period and 5-0 after the second.
Conor Wollenzien made 22 saves to earn a shutout victory for the Scarlets (14-4-0 overall, 10-2-0 Big Nine).
Austin dropped to 5-12-1 and 2-9-0.
