"We played really well," Lourdes coach Josh Spaniol said. "Even though it was 4-0, it was one of our best games of the season."

Eagles goalie Adam Renn made 33 saves to hold Lourdes in the game. It trailed just 1-0 after one period, but Apollo scored three times in the second to take control.

Gino Lucia scored twice for Apollo and goalie Nick Althaus made 11 saves.

"Renn played really well in goal," Spaniol said, "and Tucker Champman and Montana Streit played their best games of the year. They played really well defensively, so did Mason Carstens and Peter Alexander.

"I'm really proud of how we played and the effort of the whole team."

Lourdes is back in action Monday at the Kiwanis/Cambria Festival against Fargo (N.D.) South at 7:30 p.m.
