MANKATO — Hayden Ashworth notched a hat trick and Joey Pundt recorded his first varsity shutout and victory as Rochester Century rolled to a 7-0 Big Nine Conference boys hockey victory against Mankato East on Tuesday.
Five Panthers had multiple-point games as Century outshot East 42-5 to improve to 1-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the Big Nine.
Mitchell Hoover had two goals for the Panthers, while Jake Roth had three assists and Riese Zmolek and Jace Berndt both had two assists.
Pundt, in his second varsity start, picked up his first victory.
Both teams took four minor penalties.

"The boys did well," Century coach Josh Klingfus said. "They kept up a good tempo."
Century plays its home opener at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Roseville at Graham Arena.
