LAKEVILLE — The Rochester John Marshall/Lourdes boys lacrosse team didn't have an answer for top-seeded Lakeville North and suffered a season-ending 23-0 loss during the opening round of the Section One, Class A playoffs.
The Rockets finished 1-10. Despite the rough ending, the Rockets felt like they showed steady improvement as a program this season.
"We improved a lot as a team this season, even though the scoreboard didn't always show it," team captain Eric Schepp said. "We have a young team with a bright future. Every game we went out there and played our best."
Despite the blowout loss, JM/Lourdes did not give up. "No matter what, our team played with a tremendous amount of passion and heart. We played whistle to whistle and never gave up," assistant coach Jon Machutt said.
"I firmly believe we had one of the best group of guys I ever played with, filled with individual talent and great personalities," captain Tyler Gallaugher said.
