Rochester Mayo gave highly-regarded Rosemount a scare before falling 10-7 in boys lacrosse Friday.
Ethan Moore and Mike Fix each had three goals for the Spartans.
"I am very proud of how our guys played tonight," Mayo coach Tom Patterson said. "We played a highly-ranked team on senior night and gave them a scare. Our defense is great. We're looking forward to sections."
Mayo trailed 6-3 after two quarters.
Troy Penz finished the game with 14 saves for Mayo.
