Mayo suffered another loss against another rugged team Saturday as it fell to No. 3-ranked (Class AA) East Ridge 3-0 in boys soccer.

East Ridge led 2-0 at halftime. For the game, it outshot Mayo 20-2. Spartans goalie Liam Claton had another outstanding outing with 10 saves.

Mayo coach Charles Abboud was pleased with his defense, especially the play down the stretch of sophomores Nathan Spindler-Krage, Joe Sedarski, Ian McBane and Simon Kennel. They denied the Raptors any goals in the last five minutes, despite Mayo being down a man due to a red card.
