Rochester Lourdes continued its strong defense to begin the season and rolled past Mankato East 4-0 in non-conference boys soccer Thursday.
Lourdes goalie Noah Morris recorded his second shutout of the season, while facing five shots.
"Tonight was a great all-around effort as we used the entire bench and showed our depth in order to cope with the heat," Lourdes coach Tom Kane said. "It was another strong defensive effort."
Lourdes mixed up its scoring. Tiernan Talbot, Donovan Buss, Isaac Plager and Charlie Rolfs all had goals.
James Strom had 13 saves for East.

Kane likes what he's seeing so far from his team.
"I am very pleased with the start to our season and of the defense," Kane said.
