Mayo senior Alonso Montori is looking to swim at the college level and he has a brother at Division I UMass. The two brothers could become teammates in the near future.
Mayo's Alonzo Montori placed fifth in the state in the 200 freestyle while Century's Jensen Richard was eighth in the 100 backstroke and the Century 200 freestyle relay team was eighth.
Seniors Colin White of Winona and Winston Walkup of Austin both earned All-State status in the 100 backstroke. White placed sixth in the event and Walkup was eighth.
The Class A and AA state swimming preliminary round will be held Friday. The swimming and diving finals for both classes is Saturday at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.

Senior Jack Homme has excelled for the Century boys swimming and diving team over the past four seasons and he has also been very generous with his time as a volunteer outside of sports.
The Section 1AA and 1A boys swimming and diving meets have been delayed due to the weather. The swimming prelims are Friday with the championship finals on Saturday at Rochester Recreation Center.
