Brehmer has solid season in pool

• Nick Brehmer, a sophomore swimmer for the Austin Packers, is part of two relay teams and a standout in a pair of individual events.

• Helped the Packers to their only dual meet win of the regular season with a pair of individual first-place finishes against Albert Lea. Took the top spots in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.20 and the 100 freestyle in a time of 52.84 seconds.

• Swam to a first-place individually and also as part of a relay team in the final home dual of the season against Mankato West on Feb. 3 at the Ellis pool. Won the 200 freestyle in 1:54.42 and also was on the winning 400 freestyle relay in that meet.

• Raced in five events on Jan. 27 against Mankato East. Swam to individual first-place finishes in the 100 and 200 freestyle events. Also was on the third-place medley relay team, the second-place 200 freestyle relay, and the first-place 400-yard freestyle relay team.

• Most recent competition came at the Big Nine Conference Meet on Feb. 12 at Mankato. Placed third in the 100 freestyle and was fifth individually in the 200 freestyle event. Also was swam on the seventh-place 200 freestyle relay and the fifth-place 400 freestyle relay team.
