Century broke open a close game with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning en route to a 7-1 win over Owatonna in Big Nine Conference softball on Friday.

The Panthers were nursing a 3-1 lead when they scored fourth times in the sixth.

"We did a good job of fighting off pitches and getting the timely base hit with runners on base," Century coach Chad Buchmann said.

Annika Zimmer led the Panthers by going 3 for 4 and Frankie Mickelson and Erin Ziebarth had two hits a piece. Ziebarth also collected the win on the mound, limiting the Huskies to a single run on six hits.

"Erin Ziebarth worked the zone to keep them off balance and got six timely strikeouts," Buchmann said.
