WASECA — Rochester Century got its season off on the right skate.
The Panthers jumped to a three-goal first-period lead against Waseca and went on to an 8-3 non-conference girls hockey victory.

Century had two goalies split time. Kaitlyn Maidl made 11 saves and Abby Cunningham stopped six shots. Waseca goalie Taylor Juberien finished with 25 stops.
