Rochester Community and Technical College spent a lot of time circling the bases Wednesday in a college baseball doubleheader sweep over visiting St. Mary's University junior varsity.
Rochester collected 11 hits in each game and won 11-4 and 13-7 over the Cardinals at RCTC. The Yellowjackets improved to 25-6 overall with the non-conference wins.
"We came out and struggled a little early tonight," Head Coach Steve Hucke said, "but then our bats started heating up and we hit well rest of night."
All nine batters in the lineup had at least one hit in the first game for RCTC, and nine players had RBIs. Ben Glomski and Brok Schwartzkopf had two hits each, and Richard Borquez-Meji drove in two.
Alex Biehn allowed four hits and no earned runs for the win, with Payden Anderson and Anthony Rosario pitching relief.

Schwartzkopf kept the hot bat in the second game going 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs. Josh Concepcion and Garrett Zander had two hits each. Quinn Cannoy pitched one inning of scoreless middle relief for the win, and Austin Baab pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
"Our guys responded and had some great at bats," Hucke added, "we pitched well and got out of some jams."
RCTC travels to Brainerd on Saturday for an afternoon doubleheader against Central Lakes. The Yellowjackets are home for a twinbill against Minnesota West beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.
