Last meeting:The teams split a pair of games a year ago. Central Lakes won in the regular season 41-37 and RCTC then won 40-21 in the MCAC state title game.

Central Lakes notes:The Raiders have outscored their two foes 118-13. They lead the state in both offense (560.5 yards a game) and defense (109.0). QB Jake Faber has passed for 494 yards with 8 TDs and 2 interceptions. Kieran Johnson has caught 12 passes (21.6 average) and 5 TDs while Jaelyn Price has 8 catches (9.0 average) and Elias Arlington has 7 catches (8.9). Carlton Djam leads a strong ground attack with 235 yards rushing (7.6 average) while Trey Blanchard has 117 yards (5.9). Kierre Rhodes has 2 interceptions on defense.
RCTC notes:The Yellowjackets have outscored foes 105-23. They are second in the state in both offense (463.0 yards a game) and defense (153.0). Nick Rooney was the Eastern Division Offensive Player of the Week last week. The QB has a state-best 666 yards passing with 7 TDs and 2 interceptions. Devin Robinson has rushed for 123 yards (4.9 average). Jalen Easters has a state-best 15 catches (13.8 average) and 3 TDs. Terrance Bowers has 10 catches (28.5 average) with 2 TDs while Connor Watts (13.9 average, 1 TD) and Landon Covington (10.9, 1 TD) both have 7 catches. RB Wes Tucker is expected to return from an injury this week to see his first action. LB James Lassa had 2 interceptions, one for a TD, and 6 tackles last week to earn Eastern Division Defensive Player of the Week honors. Cedrion Sacus also has 2 interceptions and the Jackets have 8 as a team so far.
