Med City Aquatics competes at Hastings

Med City Aquatics results from the recent Hastings meet.

• Asa Bratlien beat up on his 50 Backstroke by an impressive 4 and a half seconds.

• Joseph Clark crushed both days with 5 new cuts, including a C, two B's, and another two BB's.

• Madie DeJong cut a big 2 seconds in her favorite 50 Backstroke and had best ever early season swims in her 50 Free and 50 Fly.

• Michaela Dervin sliced a little time off her best 50 Butterfly in a sharp looking race.

• Kamden Ernste smashed his 50 Free by over 3 seconds for his newest C cut.

• Karsten Ernste wasn't to be outdone by his brother, so he dropped nearly 3 seconds himself in his own 50 Free for a BB time.

• Kaybree Ernste survived her first ever 200 IM in style, picking up a C time in the process to top off her great weekend of swims.

• Jeremiah Holabird cut time in two thirds of his swims, and those he didn't cut in he missed by less than a second. Pretty impressive right after Short Course championship season.

• Katie Kasperski cut 5 seconds off her best 100 Breast, then went out and did it again in her 50 Fly. Wow!

• Marcus Nguyen blew up his first meet with fast feet and fists of fury! He even picked up his first ever C time in his 50 Free.

• Octavio Querol hammered down 6 and a half seconds in his 100 Free for a new BB cut.

• Grant Reeves went undefeated over the weekend, winning all six of his races while picking up 6 early season bests in each one of them.

• Emma Selig obliterated her best 100 Backstroke by a whopping 19 seconds for her newest B time.

• Hannah Selig chased down her best time in the 50 Fly to stay a step ahead of her sister, knocking off a second in a half for a good looking B time.

• Ariana Thorpe came up for day two and left with four new C times, one in each event! The weekend was highlighted by a 12 second drop in the 50 Fly and 18 in her 100 Free!

• Sophia Tomlinson grabbed three new C times in her 50 Free, 50 Back, and 100 IM where she dropped 3, 2, and 6 seconds, respectively.

• Alex Verburg dropped time in a couple swims, including a half second in his fastest ever 50 Fly.

• Morgan Verburg grabbed her newest B time in the 100 Breaststroke by slicing off nearly 2 seconds of old time.

• Manasa Yerriboyina may have stole the show with 3 B times and an additional C time. That's all well and good, but in 3 of those 4 races she dropped 21, 26, and 32 seconds, all in 100's. Wow!

• Abigail Ziemann shrugged off 9 seconds in her 50 Freestyle, and then went into some heavy lifting as she unloaded a big 20 seconds off her best 100 IM.
