SPRING VALLEY — Kennan Bruening ran for a pair of touchdowns and the Caledonia defense limited Kingsland to 78 yards in a 21-0 victory over Kingsland in Three Rivers football on Friday.
Bruening, the Caledonia quarterback, scored on runs of 14 yards in the first quarter and 5 yards in the fourth. Matt Petersen added a 35-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Connor McCormick led Caledonia with 61 yards rushing on 15 attempts and Petersen finished with 56 yards on nine carries. The Warriors (5-1) had 161 yards rushing and eight passing.
The Caledonia defense held Kingsland (2-4) to zero yards on the ground. Tanner Lange was 3-for-12 passing for 53 yards and Sam Eberle completed 1-of-2 attempts for 25 yards.
