LA CRESCENT — Tanner Duffy plunged in for a six-yard touchdown with 2:24 remaining to help La Crescent seal a 21-13 win over visiting Kasson-Mantorville. The Lancers defense then held K-M in check on its final possession.
Duffy was the star of the game and accounted for nearly all of La Crescent's office, rushing 18 times for 157 yards and three touchdowns. He scored on runs of 29 and 70 yards in the first half.
Both teams had a hard time passing in a steady rain that dropped two inches of rain on the field throughout the day. La Crescent quarterback Josh DeBoer was 4-of-10 for seven yards, and K-M quarterback Jacob Gruber was 3-of-9 for 38.
K-M had a good rushing game with 217 yards, led by Andrew Bigelow with 19 carries for 73 yards and 1-yard touchdown run.
