PINE ISLAND — Ben Farrell and Tristan Akason both scored a pair of touchdowns to help Pine Island record a 34-14 win over Zumbrota-Mazeppa in Southern Football Alliance White Division play.
The game was completed on Saturday after being suspended at halftime due to lightning on Friday. Pine Island (3-1, 2-1 White Division) led 21-6 at the half when play was resumed.
Farrell had 22 carries for 157 yards and one rushing touchdown. He also had a 52-yard fumble recovery for TD. Akason rushed for 55 yards on eight carries and had scoring runs of 14 and 18 yards.
Chris Frick was 4-for-5 passing for 46 yards for the Panthers. He also rushed for 61 yards and a 3-yard touchdown. Pine Island finished with 312 total yards, 275 on the ground.
Z-M quarterback Freedom Hunt rushed for 94 yards on 14 carries and had touchdown runs of 48 and 2 yards. He was also 10-for-17 passing for 78 yards and one interception.

Jacob Forrey had seven catches for 44 yards. Z-M (1-3, 1-2 division) had 149 yards rushing and 106 passing for 255 total yards. Isaiah Stueber was 3-for-5 passing for 28 yards.
Both teams had four turnovers.
