DOVER — Southland turned a close game into a rout as it scored 21-unanswered points in the second half.
The Rebels (2-0 overall) finished with 268 offensive yards. Nick Schmitz led them with 104 yards rushing on 17 carries. He had three touchdowns, including a 26-yard run.
Southland forced four D-E fumbles, recovering three of them.
The Eagles (0-2) intercepted Southland once.
Jordan Donlinger had 51 yards on 13 carries for the Eagles.
