SPRING GROVE — Spring Grove erupted for four touchdowns in the first quarter and rolled over visiting Mabel-Canton. The Lions were up 44-0 by halftime.

Spring Grove piled up 418 yards rushing and zero passing on just two pass attempts. Lions junior quarterback Josh Olerud was the top rusher with 13 carries for 169 yards and two long scores of 64 and 42 yards.

The Lions defense led by Eli Gleason allowed M-C just 88 yards in total offense. Gabe Lind led the Cougars with 71 yards rushing on 15 carries, including a 25-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to break up the shutout.
