STEWARTVILLE -- Aaron Quandt threw three touchdown passes in the first half and Stewartville went on to beat Winona 38-20 in the Section One, Class AAAA football semifinals Saturday night.
The Tigers led 24-6 at halftime and 31-6 after three quarters.
Quandt finished 14-for-23 for 190 yards for the night, with completions to 11 different teammates. Brandon Groski caught a 40-yarder for a touchdown, Luke Scruggs a 19-yarder for a touchdown and Shane Curtis a 20-yarder for a TD.
Noah Johnson returned an interception 50 yards for another Stewartville six points. Curtis ran 13 yards and Jordan Johnson 32 yards for two other touchdowns.
Winona got all of its touchdowns on pass receptions by standout receiver Terran Cross, covering 23, 73 and 78 yards. The last two were in the fourth quarter.

Stewartville rushed for 174 yards and passed for 190. Winona had 77 on the ground, 258 in the air.
The No. 2-seeded Tigers (9-1) will meet No. 1 seed Kasson-Mantorville (9-1) on Friday at 7p.m. at K-M.
