PLAINVIEW — Aaron Quandt threw for 277 yards and six touchdowns to lead Stewartville past Plainview-Elgin-Millville in a showdown game in the Southern Football Alliance Red Division.
Both teams came into the game with 3-0 records.
With Quandt leading the way, the Tigers took a 35-20 lead at the half. The senior quarterback completed 27 of 33 passes and threw touchdowns to six different receivers for the second time this season.
"When he had his time back there, which was most of the time, he can really pick a team apart." P-E-M coach Kevin Lamb said.
Connor Hanf had six catches for 81 yards and one touchdown for Stewartville. Shane Curtis had 13 rushes for 75 yards and he also caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Lucas Scruggs, Collin Fanton, Chye Stecher and Garret Nosbisch also caught TD passes for the Tigers. Stewartville had 400 total yards of offense, 277 passing and 123 rushing.
Bryce Heim had 135 yards rushing on 20 carries and one touchdown for P-E-M. He also caught three passes for 67 yards. Chase Rahman had 93 yards rushing on 15 carries and two touchdowns.
P-E-M (3-1) had 287 yards rushing and 148 passing for 435 total yards. Brady Norton was 3-for-5 passing for 62 yards and one TD while Brady Ziebell was 4-for-9 for 96 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
"I thought the difference in the game was turnovers," Lamb said.
P-E-M had four turnovers and Stewartville had just one. The Bulldogs did recover two on-side kicks in the fourth quarter when the outscored the Tigers 16-6.
