GOODHUE — Zumbrota-Mazeppa bounced back from a tough loss a week ago with a nice road win on Friday, beating Goodhue on its home fiel.d
Z-M, which lost to Kasson-Mantorville last week, led Goodhue 10-6 at halftime, then scored once in the fourth quarter to win.
Cody Krueger rushed for 81 yards to lead the Cougars (3-2 overall). Kurt Gadient threw a touchdown pass to Tyler Quam for Z-M's first touchdown and Krueger scored their final points on a three-yard run.
Senior running back Dillon Huemann led Goodhue (2-3) with 51 yards rushing on 15 attempts. Quarterback Tyler Schumacher passed for touchdowns of 36 and 22 yards, both to Kyle Drehmel.
