LeRoy-Ostrander 33, Mountain Lake Area 6

LEROY — Just a week after suffering their first loss to ranked Lanesboro, LeRoy-Ostrander answered back in a big way by knocking off 9-Man's top-ranked team in Mountain Lake Area 33-6 on Friday night.

Quarterback Chase Johnson was a big reason why.

He finished with five total touchdowns, completing 6 of 9 passes for 132 yards with touchdown passes of 32- and 39-yards, while adding 211 yards rushing on 20 carries with TD runs of 58, 40 and 13.

Tristian Lewiston caught the first touchdown that gave the Cardinals — who received votes in the latest 9-Man polls — a 7-0 lead in the first. Three straight TD runs from Johnson made it 27-0 in the third quarter.

Grand Meadow 20, Spring Grove 17

SPRING GROVE — Dustin Copley did a little bit of everything as he scored three touchdowns in a variety of different ways to lead Grand Meadow.

Copley put the Superlarks on the board with an 83-yard kickoff return after Spring Grove took a 10-0 lead on a Hunter Holland 1-yard score. But, Caden Grinde answered with an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown himself for Spring Grove.

Yet, Grand Meadow scored the game's final 14 points thanks to Copley, who made it 17-12 with an 8-yard run before the half and then had a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown at the end of the third quarter.
