Rochester Lourdes had its full contingent of players Saturday, and it showed in an impressive 3-0 non-conference boys soccer win over Austin.
"We had a great effort in beating Austin," said Lourdes coach Tom Kane, whose team has battled injuries early this season.
It was the Packers who had knocked the Eagles out of the playoffs a year ago, in the Section 1A final.
Nick Shen got Lourdes going early, connecting on a penalty kick just six minutes in. He then followed that with another goal that was set up in the back by Tyler Sloan, and passed into the middle to Alan Schembri-Wismayer, who found Shen on a breakaway with a perfect through pass.
Gabe Salerno got Lourdes' other goal.

"This was a big section game and I was very pleased with overall offensive and defensive effort," Lourdes coach Tom Kane said.
Lourdes is now 6-1-2 overall.
