Girls Basketball | John Marshall 48, Faribault 44

FARIBAULT — John Marshall held off Faribault 48-44 to win in Big Nine Conference girls basketball on Friday.

The Rockets led by seven at the half and held on despite making just 8 of 18 free throws in the game.

"Some nights you get the win and get out of town, this was one of them," JM coach Dutch Heiderscheit said.

Jamie Ruden had 23 points and six rebounds for the Rockets while Nicole Fautsch had 12 points and seven rebounds.

"Jamie had some points but was in foul trouble," Heiderscheit said. "Allison Radke came off the bench and gave us a spark with her defense."

JM (7-3, 4-2 Big Nine) will host Minnetonka in a non-conference game today at 3 p.m.
