John Marshall rolled to a big lead early and went on to a 56-33 victory over Austin in Big Nine Conference girls basketball on Friday night.
The host Rockets led 39-14 at the half and cruised to victory in the second half.
"We got off to a good start and we're able to build a nice lead," JM coach Phil Schroeder. "We moved the ball well on offensie and did a nice job of rebounding. We also received contributions from a number of kids and shot the ball well from the outside."
Jamie Ruden paced the Rockets with 16 points and Julia Stowe chipped with 12 and hit a pair of 3-pointers. JM had four other players score between 5-7 points.
Jaidyn Bastian led Austin with eight points.
