Lourdes capped a 25-year girls basketball history at its Alumni Hall gymnasium on Tuesday night with a 57-53 overtime win over Byron.
"It was great; Senior night, and the girls won the last game to ever be played here," Lourdes coach Myron Glass said. "The tears were flowing."
Lourdes played its first game at Alumni Hall in 1987. The school's new campus on the western edge of Rochester will be open next year.
The Eagles avenged an earlier 12-point loss to Byron and snapped a two-game losing skid to improve to 9-15 overall and 5-7 in the HVL Gold Division. Byron is 14-9, 6-7 in the HVL Gold.
Anna Branstad scored 14 points and Katie Helt scored 12 to lead Lourdes. Helt tied the score with a three-pointer with 24 seconds left, and also made a key three-pointer in overtime.

Sara Hobday and Jennifer Rahman made two free throws to seal the win for Lourdes.
Free throws were a key as the Eagles shot 15 more and had an 11-3 scoring edge there.
Vanessa Anderson led Byron with 17 points and six rebounds.
Lourdes closes the regular season at Kenyon-Wanamingo on Friday. There is a chance the Eagles could host an opening-round subsection playoff game.
