Rochester Lourdes got off to a fast and knocked off Lake City 67-43 in Hiawatha Valley League girls basketball Friday night at Lourdes.
Lourdes led 36-13 at halftime.
"I was very happy with the effort and intensity tonight; it was a real team effort," Lourdes coach Aaron Berg said. "We were able to set the tone early with our defense and were able to capitalize. The girls believed in and executed our game plan very well."
Wynter Bergner, a 5-foot-11 sophomore, scored 18 points for Lourdes. Eleanor Plager added 13 points and five rebounds, and Megan Hobday had 12 points and six rebounds.
Lourdes moved to 2-2 in the HVL and 4-3 overall. Lake City is 2-3, 3-4.

The Tigers were paced by Daynalyn Jostock's 14 points.
