Rochester Lourdes trailed by three points at halftime, but fought back to beat Stewartville 79-63 in Hiawatha Valley League girls basketball Tuesday night at Lourdes.
"I am very proud of the girls tonight," Lourdes coach Aaron Berg said. "There was a lot of adversity thrown our way and the kids were able to battle through it. We really need to clean up our play on both ends (however) if we are going to compete down the road."
Lourdes won the game thanks to its 3-point shooting. It hit seventh threes, compared to just one by Stewartville.
Anna Branstad led the Eagles with 21 points. Katie Helt added 17 points, Madison Berg 11 and Megan Hobday 10.
Lourdes moved to 2-1 in the HVL and 3-1 overall.

Kara O'Byrne had 22 points for Stewartville, which is 0-2, 0-3.
