AUSTIN — Rochester Mayo scored a season-high point total and stayed within a half-game of the Big Nine Conference lead with a convincing road win.
The Spartans built a double-digit lead by halftime and Austin never got closer in the second half.
Mayo improved to 14-6 overall and 12-2 in the Big Nine, a half-game behind Owatonna at 13-2. Austin is 8-12, 7-8 in the conference.
