Osseo came from behind to edge Bloomington Kennedy 61-56 in a Rochester Rotary Holiday Classic girls basketball game Tuesday afternoon at Mayo Civic Center's Exhibit Hall.
Osseo erased a nine-point halftime deficit and outscored Kennedy 37-23 in the second half of the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine bracket game. The game wasn't decided until the closing seconds, when Osseo junior forward Azaria Reed stole an inbound pass and converted a layup for the last points.
Osseo (6-2) won its fourth straight with four players in double figures scoring, led by senior guard Kiara Russell with 22 points. She averages 27.
Kennedy (0-8), still winless, had three players in double figures led by 6-foot-1 senior forward Lashayla Wright-Ponder with 20.
