OWATONNA — Owatonna displayed a varied arsenal is a 74-62 win over John Marshall in a Big Nine Conference girls basketball game Tuesday night.
It was the conference opener for both teams, and JM lost its third straight to start the season under new head coach Phil Schroeder.
"Owatonna is a tough team," Schroeder said. "They have many players who can score and move the ball around well."
Jamie Ruden had a big game with 25 points and five assists, and Nicole Fautsch had a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
JM has allowed an average of 65 points per game in its 0-3 start. The Rockets play their first home game Friday against Northfield.

"The girls gave great effort again and have improved with each road game," Schroeder noted.
