ALBERT LEA — Albert Lea scored with 1.4 seconds left in overtime to beat Rochester Mayo 3-2 on Saturday in Big Nine Conference girls hockey.
Kali Alrich had a pair of goals for Mayo, with Steph Stettler, Emily Nelson and Sara Brakke each notching assists.
"The girls played so well," Mayo coach Jeff Bolin. "They moved the puck and supported plays everywhere. It's a tough loss, but I think they know how well they played."
Mayo had 34 shots on goal, Albert Lea 27.
