The seeding meeting for the Section One, Class AA girls hockey tournament went as expected Sunday morning.
Lakeville South, which is ranked No. 12 in the state, received the No. 1 overall seed, giving it a bye in Wednesday's opening round. South is 18-5-2.
Dodge County is the top local team inn the section. The Wildcats earned the No. 2 seed and will host a first-round game at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The Wildcats are 14-8-3 this season and are ranked No. 13 in Class AA. They ended the season with two straight losses, though they were tight games against No. 2-ranked Minnetonka (Class AA) and No. 1-ranked Breck (Class A).
Dodge County will host No. 7-seeded Rochester Century in the opening round. The Panthers are 8-17-0 and struggled a bit down the stretch, losing nine of their last 10 games.

Despite its 16-9-0 record, Big Nine Conference co-champion Rochester John Marshall/Lourdes received the No. 5 seed and will travel to No. 4 Lakeville North (13-10-2) at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner faces South on Saturday.
JM/Lourdes ended its season with six consecutive victories. The Rockets won eight of their final nine games, with the lone loss coming against No. 5-ranked St. Paul United.
Farmington (14-8-3) is the No. 3 seed and it hosts No. 6 Rochester Mayo (9-16-0) on Wednesday. The Tigers lost a 5-2 decision against Red Wing (5-2), a team JM/Lourdes downed 8-1 a week later.
Mayo finished the season on a roll, winning four of its last five.
The Section 1AA semifinals are Saturday, and the finals are Feb. 11 in Owatonna.
In Section 1A, Northfield (16-9-0) secured the No. 1 seed and Red Wing (16-8-1) is the No. 2 seed.
The Raiders host No. 8 Winona (1-24-1) in the quarterfinals Wednesday, while Red Wing hosts No. 7 Albert Lea (3-20-2).
Owatonna (17-8-0) earned the No. 3 seed and it will host No. 6 Waseca, while No. 4 Faribault (17-6-2) hosts No. 5 Austin (14-11-0).
