Girls hockey: Mickelson pushes Panthers past Waseca

WASECA — Frankie Mickelson had a hat trick to lead the Rochester Century girls hockey team in a 5-0 victory over Waseca on Tuesday night.

Mickelson added an assist.

The game was just 2-0 through two periods, but the Panthers pulled away in the third.

Kelsey Miller was stellar in net, recording 14 saves for the shutout. Maddie O'Grady had a goal and an assist, Karli Reinhart had three assists and VIctoria Johnson added a goal for the Panthers.

"Kelsey Miller continued her confident play, getting her third shutout of the season and we got some key penalty killing from Maddie O'Grady and Tori Johnson on a 5-on-3 situation," Century coach Tom Aney said. "We also had some good offense including a hat trick by Frankie Mickelson and three assists by Karli Reinhart, including a nice backdoor feed to Maddie O'Grady."
