OWATONNA — Owatonna scored six times in the first half and six in the second as it stormed past Rochester Century 12-2 in girls lacrosse on Thursday.
"The Owatonna team has a lot of talent and speed," Century coach Jim Cunningham said.
Century trailed 6-1 early in the game.
"We got into problems late in the first half and had to play shorthanded most of the second half," Cunningham said. "We improved our ground ball performance considerably and (Anna DeMattos and Laney Walter) made a number of great saves throughout the game. I am really proud of all the girls considering the inclement weather and tough conditions."
