ROSEMOUNT — Rochester John Marshall/Lourdes came close to pulling off the biggest upset of the first round of the Section 3 girls lacrosse tournament.
The Rockets pushed Rosemount to the final buzzer in a 15-14 season-ending loss.
"It's the best game we've played all season," JM/L coach Kerry McAllister said. "I am so proud of the team we have become. The team truly worked together and gave everything they had tonight."
Marissa DiCecco led JM/L with five goals, while Emma Krauss had four. Lauren Jennings added two goals and three assists, and Mia Bruesewitz made 18 saves.
