The Rochester Lourdes girls soccer team brought its scoring shoes to the Fuad Mansour Complex on Thursday and crushed Cannon Falls 9-0.
Lourdes scored all nine of its goals in the first half, with six different players finding the back of the net. Lourdes improved to 5-2-2 overall.
"We played solid offense tonight during both halves and it was nice to some goals in the net," said Lourdes head coach Sarah Groven. "Katie Helt netted a hat trick in the first eight minutes and the girls settled in and played great soccer."
Lourdes goalie Becca Freiburger had to make just two saves for her second shutout this week.
"It's no secret that we've had a few tough games as of late, but the girls are working well and working well together and that is key," the coach added.

Lourdes has a Hiawatha Valley League game against Byron Tuesday at the Rochester Regional Sports Stadium.
