WEST LAFAYETTE, IND. — The Gophers women's basketball team had three players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as Purdue earned a 75-67 Big Ten Conference victory Thursday night.
The Gophers dropped to 13-5 overall and 2-2 in the Big Ten.
Rachel Banham and Leah Cotton paced the Gophers with 17 points apiece. Shayne Mullaney poured in 12.
Purdue entered the game ranked No. 11 in the country. The Boilermakers improved to 15-2 overall and 4-0 in the Big Ten.
Mullaney added team-highs with five assists and two steals for the Gophers. Micaella Riche ripped down 11 rebounds to go along with eight points.

Minnesota shot 37.5 percent from the field. Minnesota got 16 points off 14 Purdue turnovers and scored 12 second-chance points.
The Gophers return to action at 5 p.m. Sunday at home against Nebraska at Williams Arena. The Gophers are looking to "Burst the Barn" in a white out game, where Pam Borton will donate $1,000 to five different charities should the attendance reach 5,000.
