MINNEAPOLIS — Maryanne Menefee scored three goals and added an assist in the University of Minnesota women's hockey team's 7-3 victory over Minnesota State, Mankato on Friday night at Ridder Arena.
Rachel Ramsey, Sydney Baldwin, Cara Piazza and Meghan Lorence also scored for the Gophers. Dani Cameranesi and Hannah Brandt added three assists apiece.
The Gophers outshot the Mavericks 61-19, including 23-2 in the first period.
Sydney Peters got the win in net, recording 16 saves.
Red Wing native Nicole Schammel had an assist for MSU. Fellow Red Wing grad Emily Stegora put a shot on goal but did not score.

The Gophers improved to 20-1-3, while MSU dropped to 2-18-1.
