Former East Ridge quarterback Seth Green announced Sunday that he has given a verbal commitment to Minnesota.
Green, a 6-foot-4, 218-pound and four-star recruit, transferred from East Ridge to Allen, Texas, for his senior season this past year.
Green originally had committed to Oregon in October 2014 over a previous offer from Minnesota and had an official visit to Dinkytown last weekend.
Green cited the departure of Oregon's offensive coordinator Scott Frost to Central Florida as part of his decision on Twitter.
"With the departure of Coach Frost I am blessed to announce the flop of my commitment from Oregon to Minnesota," Green said.

Green could enroll as soon as January and take part in spring practices.
The Gophers also added offensive guard Garrison Wright earlier Sunday.
Wright, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound product of Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., is the second guard who's committed and could see playing time as soon as next season. Guard Vincent Calhoun of Mississippi Community College in Summit, Miss., committed in September.
"I have decided to commit to the University of Minnesota! #Ski-U-Mah #GoGophers," Wright said in a message on Twitter.
Wright, who has not yet been given a star ranking, is the 18th player to give a verbal commitment to join the Gophers in 2016. He also had interest from Texas Christian, Nevada-Las Vegas and Memphis.
